About Malmesbury Youth FC
Malmesbury Youth FC was formed nearly 20 years ago, and now enables over 200 players, aged 6 to 16, to learn and enjoy the game of football. We currently have thirteen teams, playing in the Cotswold Friendly League or the Wiltshire leagues. Further details can be found on the league web sites on our Links page.
The club is run entirely by (over 30) volunteers, some of whom have been involved ever since the club was established. We are truly grateful for their dedication.
Our home ground is behind the Red Bull pub, on the Bristol road from Malmesbury to Sherston.
Club philosophy
Football motivates youngsters from all backgrounds
to enjoy physical exercise, giving them a positive outlet
for their energy. It teaches values such as discipline and
team spirit.
“Sport is very important for building character”
(Nelson Mandela).
MYFC is an “FA Chartered Standard Development Club” - one of only six in Wiltshire - which means it follows best practice in coaching, development, and child protection. Every manager is FA-qualified and CRB-checked.
We want every child to have fun and to develop as a player. Many go on to play for local senior sides, and a few will achieve their dream of playing professionally. If you have a child who would benefit from joining the club, we’d love to hear from you. Please contact Marion Picter.
